Description:
PU Mastic is a single-component polyurethane mastic that hardens rapidly upon contact with atmospheric humidity, forming a hard, elastic sealant with a medium-high modulus of elasticity. It is intended for sealing vertical and horizontal joints. The product is CE marked according to the Declaration of Performance (DoP) in accordance with EU305/2011 regulations.
Uses:
- Sealing expansion joints or cracks.
- Making seals in the joints between horizontal and vertical walls for preliminary preparations in liquid waterproofing.
- General sealing of construction materials: concrete, wood, aluminum, painted metal, polyester, glass, PVC, concrete and clay tiles, stone, ceramic tiles.
- Recommended for bonding fired clay tiles and concrete.
- It can be exposed to UV rays, but superficial discoloration may occur.
General Specifications:

Substrate Preparation:
- Substrates must be clean, smooth, dry, free of dust, oil, grease and any contaminants that could affect adhesion.
- They can be cleaned with methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), acetone or degreaser.
- Apply a primer if necessary.
- Check the compatibility of the solvent used with the substrates.
- When using solvents, extinguish all sources of ignition and carefully follow the safety and handling instructions given by the manufacturer or supplier.
- If necessary, rub the metal surfaces beforehand. After rubbing, the surface must be cleaned. Allow the substrate to dry after degreasing.
- We recommend cleaning the concrete with a metal brush.
Application:
- It can be applied with a manual or pneumatic gun. Any traces of grease, paint or non-adherent coating must be removed.
- After application, use a spatula to smooth the joint with soapy water.
- This product must be used within 24 hours of opening the cartridge or package; otherwise, the sealant may harden inside.
- Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C.
- During cold weather, store cartridges at approximately 20°C before use.
- Avoid any contact with uncured MS sealants, PU hybrids or silicones, as well as alcohols or ammonia during curing.
- In joints, the depth dimension must be double the width dimension. The maximum width allowed is 38 mm.
